Taiwan Pavilion, Frankfurt Book Fair 2021, Germany

2021 was a unique year marked by the global pandemic. Despite ongoing restrictions, Taiwan participated in the Frankfurt Book Fair with a carefully curated national pavilion organized by the Taipei Book Fair Foundation.

The pavilion was curated by renowned Taiwanese illustrator Page Chou, with Iconic Exhibition Design responsible for booth construction and on-site execution.

The pavilion adopted a “Kitchen” concept, symbolizing the shared experience of home and self-sufficiency during lockdowns. As kitchens became central spaces for creativity and comfort during the pandemic, the design translated this everyday intimacy into a warm, human-scaled exhibition environment.
